Happy May !!! I am writing this blog while flying on a plane. Isn’t it Amazing?

295312_10151586507072145_504432666_nI am so filled with gratitude and love from the recent Yoga Reaches Out Yogathon. WOW! thanks to all who participated and took amazing pictures. here is one from Tamar Melen.

So what am I doing flying to Sacramento, CA??? Especially when the weather just got so perfect on Cape Cod.   I will be leading a womens retreat with my good friend Andrea Spacek, as well as doing my first ever gig in Sacramento at The Coffee Garden on MONDAY MAY 6 at 8pm. And to get warmed up (in every way) I will join Ryan Bailey’s yoga class on Monday morning May 6 and to provide some live musical love at East Wind Yoga in Auburn, CA.  What a gift to be oooommmmming coast to coast!

2013-yogathon-new-englandI am singing at the Cape Cod Chat House tonight and am splitting the bank with Yoga Reaches Out. After the recent events in Boston, I am so grateful to be gathering with the YOGA community of Boston and beyond to celebrate the power of LOVING ACTION. if you don’t know about the New England Yogathon yet. tune in baby. I will be singing at Gilette stadium on this Sunday while my friend and owner of Power Yoga of Cape Cod, Jill Abraham teaches yoga.

This is a dream come true and just one flower of many that has begun to bloom as a result of seeds I planted in early 2011.  We are always planting seeds. in every moment. so choose wisely and don’t let the events that are happening around you shift your focus for too long. love love love.

I am also SO HAPPY to be at the First Encounter Coffeehouse this Saturday night as a a part of a Celebration of local women songwriters.

More seeds have sown another trip out to Northern California from May 1-8, where will be leading a womens retreat with my good friend Andrea Spacek, as well as doing my first ever gig in Sacramento at The Coffee Garden.  I will also be playing again for Ryan Bailey at East Wind Yoga in Auburn, CA. Well It’s April 8 and it finally feels warm. sometime last week I had a little impromptu lunch break a local beach in Dennis called Mayflower. What a gorgeous day it was. chilly, but GORGEOUS. Great time to listen to Isn’t It Amazing?

This past Thursday and Friday night I was up in Boston first at Club Passim to see Lori McKenna share her new album Massachusetts produced by Mark Erelli. It was the most rocking folk show I ever saw at Passim and I think Mark played 7 instruments. So inspiring and the album is awesome!

Then On Friday I had the pleasure of singing for a Yoga Reaches Out Benefit class taught by Jaqui Bonwell at Spinning Lotus Studios in Wayland, MA. What a gift. It got me SO EXCITED for the April 28 yogathon at Gilette Stadiium.

IMG_3288A little over a week ago I had the pure pleasure of visiting Arizona and doing 2 shows. A house concert in Peoria and a chanting workshop at B Well Center in Scottsdale.  Not only did the sun and 90 degree weather soothe my pale winter skin, but the community and opportunity to share my CD with folks that listened deeply was a balm to my soul. 556888_10200892373220021_450051425_n (1)

Thank you, thank you to all who made that possible and helped celebrate the one-year anniversary of 2012: ISn’t it Amazing? with such joy (and desert heat).

Last weekend I also had the privilege of sharing the stage at The Island Merchant in Hyannis with Allen McGarry and friends on the actual anniversary of the release – 3/22/13. I was a rock star for a moment and Fairy Queen never rocked so hard. WATCH a short clip here.

Yoga Reaches Out on April 28 with an intro show and yoga class with Jaqui Bonwell on April 5 at Spinning Lotus Studios in Wayland MA, June 20-23 at Wanderlust Festival in VT with Jill Abraham and a return to my local schedule at the Chat House in Dennis this Saturday March 30 7-9pm. Isn’t it amazing what can happen in a year?
AMathewsonCD_W138_print.inddThis time last year I was in full on production mode working to get my CD 2012: Isn’t it Amazing? done in time for all the parties. March 22, 2012 was such a special night for me and all that attended. It was my intention to use that event at the Cape Cod Chat House (as well as events in NY and LA) to not only launch the new CD and celebrate but also to help birth a new vibration of love, peace, truth, right-conduct, & non-violence in myself and for all.

I have now sung “May I be at Peace” in many different settings: yoga classes, coffeehouses, healing centers, school gyms, churches, next to the bed of a passing soul, at Creacon Lodge in Ireland, and for women retreats on both coasts. What a gift to be doing what I love with such generous listeners.

And I can’t wait to sing it for Yoga Reaches Out in April at Gilette Stadium and at the Wanderlust Festival in VT singing both times with Jill Abraham from Power Yoga of Cape Cod.

That oscars show was a little weird, don’t you think? I mean I love musicals – I used to write them, but that felt more like the tony’s than the oscars. just sayin. Jennifer Hudson and Adele rocked it though. and congrats to Ben Affleck. Thanks for that true piece of wisdom: “It’s not about getting knocked down, it’s about getting up” or something like that….

It’s a full moon day. ENJOY it. and come to meditation tonight at 7pm. I was just with my Teacher Derek O’Neill and look forward to sharing the wisdom, love, and awakening I experienced with all of you. If we have time and it flows, I plan to remind us all how to draw the Prema Agni.

This sacred symbol which you can trace in the air or on someone’s back translates as the “Fire of Divine love”.  Join us TONIGHT at Sounding Still Wellness for our full moon meditation and learn about in person.
